Briargrove Music Arts Summer Brass Club Affordable. Convenient. Fun.
Our Mission There are many parallels between the training of a great brass musician and the training of a great athlete. The disciplined, consistent practice and repetition of fundamentals and exercises strengthens our muscles and sharpens our skill. Our classes are designed to help brass players explore methods, routines and fundamentals, in order to enhance their own daily routine. We also hope to inspire greater creativity by introducing students to ear training, music theory and improvisation.
What You Get Each Saturday of our Summer Brass Club will feature four 1-hour masterclasses each designed to challenge brass musicians of all skill levels and to educate students on a variety of topics. Exploring Fundamentals is a series of masterclasses in which students will discover new exercises, methods and routines to enhance their warm-ups and develop daily routines. Workshop is a high-intensity class designed to improve technique, articulation and harmonic understanding through scales and arpeggios. Pro-Tips is a lecture series that covers a wide variety of topics from practice tools and techniques to discovering how to compose a melody or improvise over any style of music. Brass Band is a weekly opportunity for students to read, rehearse and perform music from different styles of music and to explore the differences and similarities of melody, harmony and rhythm.
Schedule Saturdays 10am-2pm through June and July. View our calendar and find links to register and pay below.
What It Costs: Purchase masterclasses separately for $60 or become a monthly subscriber for $200/month.
